Last night’s show was amazing. I like every single one of the comics who performed. It was delightful. This n’ That is a charming gay bar on North 6th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, an amazing neighborhood that I cannot afford.
Halfway through my eightish minute set, a large, seemingly homeless man wandered in, muttering and walking towards the stage. No one acknowledged him.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“Three for five.”
“Everyone, this gentlemen is selling empanadas three for five. What kind do you have?”
“Chicken and spinach.”
“No tengo hambre but thank you.”
This 15-second moment, talking to a traveling empanada salesman, was probably the strongest part of my set. I had a blast. Thanks to McCarton Ackerman for having me!
Tonight I’m performing at BK9 in Park Slope, Brooklyn at 8pm.
